Travelling is an art. You need to enjoy the essence of it. But traveling alone can be a bit tiresome for a few, boring for others. So I’d say, make a list before you travel. Travel light and with itinerary that’d make your rest time more useful such as taking a train can help you cover distance and catch some sleep too.

A few helpful tips before you travel:-

• Get a few books.

• Fill yourself up on music, it makes traveling a delight.

• Load up a few movies.

• Get a sitcom series to devour.

• Get a camera. Be ready to capture the details you can. There are a lot of places we whiz past and don’t even wonder how much is it worth of.

• Savour your own company. Enjoy your own presence. Get to the root of your understanding and needs.

Hope this helps.

I’m not bored when I travel alone. I’m more bored when I can’t travel at all.

However, when I do travel I have my itinerary planned out.

• I research places of interest at my destination.

• I plot them out on Google maps. Then I line up the itinerary, in sequence from the closest tourist spot to the furthest in my destination city. I transfer that routing from my computer to my cellphone.

• Once I get to my destination city, I activate the multi-point routing on my phone, Google maps, so I don’t waste time backtracking.

• That keeps me going efficiently from spot a, to spot b, to spot c.

You don’t have time to get bored.

Also, find a hobby. Since, I am into photography, I instantly connect with other folks doing the same thing.

Say for example, you like museums in your home city, then explore them at your destination city.

These photo spots were recommended to me by a local ny photo guy, that I just met when I was visiting NY recently. We just started talking and other photogs, came and joined in.. We had a blast.

Do something productive

Doing something productive while feeling bored during a journey is very underrated, yet it is a sure way to diminish your boredom. By doing something productive means these things:

• Writing a blog online to kill your boredom.

• Recording your traveling experience on camera or a diary with words.

• Clear your cluttered email inbox.

• If you are a student, then research some interesting topic regarding your academics.

• You can also surf the internet by scrolling through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Or you can also chat with your loved ones online. (You may think that this is non-productive, but it can enhance your relationship with the person you are talking to).

Conclusion
