Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and the most populated city of New Zealand is Auckland. New Zealand is highly ranked in the international comparison of national performance such as education, health, protection, economic freedom & quality of life. It is divided into 2 main landmasses – North Island – Te Ika a Maui
South Island – Te Waipounamu
I am going to look at 9 major aspects of new Zealand. In order to decide which island is best- The north island & The south island.
I think this is the best experience to see the new Zealand for all of us.

New Zealand is easily accessible whether by bus, car, plane or boat some areas are easier to access.
North Island in New Zealand has 7 major international airports and the North island has 4 airports, including the one in Auckland, which handles most of the arrivals.
South Island- Christchurch has the biggest airport which doesn’t handle nearly as many as compared to Auckland.

New Zealand is the most beautiful country on the planet and the most diverse culture. From beaches to the rainforest to mountains to rolling green mountains to volcanic deserts to rolling green hills.
North island

In Rotorua, there is a geothermal wonder, the volcanoes of Tongariro national park, the coromandel peninsula, the green hills of northern farmland and there are some unique spots like The Putangirua Pinnacles & The Castlepoint.
South island
It is rugged with southern alps like snow-capped spines in the center of the island. The amazing glaciers like a fox and the tallest mountain in New Zealand are mount cook and the southern lake is lake Wanaka.

New Zealand is one of the best places in the world. New Zealand people are some of the friendliest, helping nature & funniest people to live with them & it leaves an impression on you. New Zealand is something to feel like a completely different world.
North island
New Zealand native Maori culture is a very unique one & it is worth your time to experience it while you’re in the country. North Islanders are usually seen as city dwellers.
South island
It has a completely different culture. It is the home to the rugged “Southern Man” & the culture offering is different like rugby & sheep farming.
But at the end of the day, we cannot do anything with the personality of the local people.

Top adventure sports of New Zealand which include skywalk & sky jump in Auckland, canyoning, black water rafting, Waitomo caves, skydiving, bungee jumping, sandboarding in the northland, zorbing, skiing on volcanoes.
South island
When it comes to adventure sports the north island has nothing as compared to the south island. South island is a birthplace for such crazy activities like jet boarding, bungee jumping, the best skiing field in the country, hiking on glaciers like a fox, mountain climbing & canyoning. Whitewater rafting or river boarding, skydiving in boarding, skydiving in Wanaka, parasailing, paragliding and you can also try stunt plane flying or gliding in Omarama.

New Zealand has amazing wildlife both native & non-native. There is a lot of species to spot all over the country. The famous bird of New Zealand is a kiwi. It’s only native mammal is a small bat & its other native species are mostly birds.
North island

You can take a cruise ride to watch dolphins in the bay of islands or we can go to seal hike along the coast in wellington. There are many native bird species like kiwi bird, the mischievous kaka, the curious weka & the rare takahe.
South island

We can see the albatross & the penguins from the Otago peninsula home, whale watching or dolphin swimming in Kaikoura & very rare & small dolphin called as ( Hector dolphin ) in Akaroa.

This is very tricky because new Zealand is full of amazing landscape, beaches & its unique city structure.
North island
There is nearly 70-75% of the country lives on the north island & more than 30% were living in Auckland. And wellington character is also a bustling city in New Zealand.
South island
The largest city of South Island is Christchurch. There is many surprisingly cool town like Dunedin & Invercargill & the coastal gem-like Kaikoura

New Zealand is not that famous than the south pacific islands like Hawaii & Fiji because it actually does have a lot of sun and sand to offer.
North island
There are white sand beaches that might be associated with long romantic walks and horseback riding. Bay of the island, golden bay, Hawke bay and oriental bay in Wellington.

It tends to be cooler & blustery. There is a wind-swept effect & the surfer has bigger waves to enjoy and the mountainous backdrop which leads to beautiful coastal scenery. Beaches of the south island include Kaikoura, beaches around Dunedin & the Otago peninsula. There are lakeside beaches in a town like Wanaka & Queenstown.

I know it is difficult to pick a favorite new Zealand island. It is still may be hard to say ‘Yes’ the north island is best, but I also love the south island too. In my mind, both the island is the winner and both the island are worth to visit.
